Forest School and Sustainability
Climate Change and Sustainability
At Michael Faraday Primary School, we are committed to creating a more sustainable future by reducing our environmental impact, enhancing biodiversity, promoting sustainable practices and educating our pupils about climate change and environmental responsibility. Through initiatives such as Eco Warriors, Forest School, gardening projects, recycling programmes and sustainable travel campaigns, we are helping our school community take positive action for the environment.
For more information about our approach and future priorities, please see our Climate Action Plan using the link below as well as the Climate Change Policy in the policy section.
We are also very pleased that we have been successful in meeting the requirements for the Eco-School Green Flag.
Our Green Flag blog explains it all! Please click on the link. Green Flag!
Our Eco Warriors
Our Eco Warriors are a team of pupil leaders who play an important role in helping Michael Faraday become a more sustainable school. They champion environmental initiatives, encourage sustainable behaviours across the school community and help ensure that caring for our environment remains a priority throughout the year. Working together with staff and pupils, they support projects such as recycling, energy saving, biodiversity improvements and litter reduction.
The Eco Warriors have also developed their own Eco Warrior Code, which sets out the values and actions they believe everyone can take to help protect our planet and make a positive difference to the environment.
